PFMHO Annual Meeting
PFMHO held its annual meeting in Harrisburg as part of Museum Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
The membership elected Ron Gancas, Executive Director of Soldiers and Sailors Military Museum and Memorial in Pittsburgh, to the board of directors.
Ford Bell, President and CEO of the American Association of Museums, addressed the Federation about coping with current economic realities.
PFMHO and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Independent Museums (PCIM) led a delegation of museum professionals, trustees, and volunteers to the State Capitol to ask state legislators to reinstate the PHMC grant program. The day wound up with a reception for Federation guests and legislators in the Capitol Rotunda.
