Workshops PFMHO offers a wide variety of workshops and professional development opportunties for the museum and public history field. Many of these excellent opportunities are underwritten by a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission; therefore, they often have little or no cost.

APACHS Alliance of Pennsylvania County Historical Societies
Affinity Groups The Pennsylvania Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations facilitates groups of museum professionals with similar interests who gather informally throughout the state. Participants discuss issues of mutual interest, learn from each other, and share ideas with the notion that collegiality moves the entire field forward.
Diversity Internship Program In the summer 2006, after several years of planning, the Pennsylvania Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations (PFMHO), the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) and two partner museums, the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) and the Independence Seaport Museum (ISM) began the Diversity Internship Program for Pennsylvania Museums.
